Job Description:
Calix is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Trainee to join its team in Bangalore. The role involves working closely with security engineering and threat intelligence teams to strengthen network intrusion detection and enhance internal security capabilities. You’ll contribute to developing detection logic, analyzing cyber threats, and automating security workflows—all while gaining hands-on experience in network and cybersecurity operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with security engineers and threat researchers to analyze network attacks and design detection logic.
• Perform packet-level analysis using tools like Wireshark or Zeek.
• Support the development and validation of detection signatures for IPS/NIDS
• Contribute to building automation tools and improving workflows using Python.
• Conduct OSINT research on emerging threats, IoCs, and TTPs.
• Assist in preparing documentation, reports, and technical playbooks.
• Participate in discussions and simulations to enhance detection capabilities.

Preferred Skill:

• Strong understanding of Networking, TCP/IP, OSI Model, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
• Basic programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows
• Exposure to tools like Wireshark, Suricata, Snort, tcpdump.
• Good communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
