Job Description:
As a Trainee Civil Engineer at Burns & McDonnell, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality engineering design and analysis for substation and transmission projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing structural analysis and design for steel and aluminum frameworks using tools like RISA 3D, Staad.Pro, and similar applications.
Designing concrete foundations for electrical equipment such as transformers, breakers, and control structures.
Conducting rigid bus analysis to determine cost-effective and efficient design solutions for various substation projects.
Preparing detailed design reports, design basis documents, and engineering deliverables.
Reviewing vendor drawings, design standards, and technical documentation.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional design team

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in their qualifying examination.
Open to students graduating in the 2026 batch only.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
Prior internship or project exposure in substation or transmission line projects will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and structural analysis software like Staad.Pro or RISA 3D.
Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to the United States, based on project requirements.
Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on advanced design responsibilities under the mentorship of senior engineers.
